SHE CAN TECH

Learn About She Can Tech

She Can Tech is a near-peer introductory computer science curriculum for girls. This means the program is completely student run for fellow students - with help from a couple of organizations. Supported by Intel, Northrop Grumman, and Google, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, and a branch of Portage Community Robotics, "She Can Tech" is able to teach young girls from across Northwest Indiana about computer science principles through fun activities
that also draw attention to social issues ranging from equal representation to adequate education.

She Can Tech is funded by NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) - a sweeping national talent development initiative for young women in computing, from kindergarten through graduate school. AiC is supported nationally by Apple, AT&T, Bank of America, Bloomberg, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola Solutions Foundation, Northrop Grumman, Qualcomm, and the Symantec Corporation.

Kelly Schaffer

Hello! I've taken PLTW classes every year since 7th grade. I've always loved math, science, and robotics, but I also enjoy reading and writing fiction, cross-stitching, and knitting. I was always afraid of chasing after what I wanted, but I'm learning to put myself first every now and then. #BoilerUp #geology #biomedical_engineering
